Women are the backbone of resilience in Kenya’s ASAL communities. They fetch water, care for families, and lead local initiatives that sustain villages. ASALS WATERS recognizes this strength and places women at the center of development.
Our empowerment programs equip women with leadership skills, small-business training, and tools to manage water resources. By supporting women-led water committees and cooperatives, we’re not only improving access to clean water but also building confidence, income, and community trust.
When women are empowered, the whole community flourishes. Their voices guide our projects, ensuring every intervention meets real, lived needs — and that every drop of water fuels dignity and opportunity.
