About ASALS Waters
A nonprofit community-based organization rooted in the heart of Kenya’s
arid and semi-arid lands
Our Story
ASALS WATERS is a nonprofit community-based organization rooted in the heart of Kenya’s arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs), where access to clean water, decent sanitation, and climate resilience remains a daily struggle for many rural communities. We exist to change that – one village, one family, and one solution at a time.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure that no child has to walk miles for water, no family suffers for lack of a toilet, and no community is left behind in the face of climate change. We work hand-in-hand with the people – listening to their needs, valuing their knowledge, and co-creating lasting solutions.
ASALS WATERS is not just about projects – it’s about people. We believe that with the right support, even the most remote communities can lead their own transformation. Together, we’re building a future where water is a right, not a privilege – and where resilience grows from the ground up.
